A lost city is a settlement that fell into terminal decline and become extensively or completely uninhabited, with the consequence that the site’s farmer significance was no longer know to the wider world. The locations of many lost cities have been forgotten, but some have been rediscovered and studied extensively by scientists.

Angkor wat was once the largest city in the world and more than a million people lived there. It is located in Cambodia. The city has an area of more than 78 square kilometers. It was surrounded by a water-filled moat. I was originally constructed as a Hindu temple, gradually transforming into a Buddhist temple.

Mohenjo-Daro is an archaeological site situated in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. It was one of the world’s earliest major settlements. It was built in 2600 BCE. It was discovered in 1922 by rakhaldas Bandyopadhyay.
